Kenai New Life to simulcast Priscilla Shirer event
LifeWay Christian Resources is slated to simulcast Bible teacher and best-selling author Priscilla Shirer live from New Orleans on Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Kenai New Life Assembly is serving as a host location for the Peninsula area. Priscilla Shirer Live, will feature Shirer’s dynamic storytelling and passionate Bible teaching. Recording artist Anthony Evans is slated to lead worship for the event which both challenges and encourages women to grow deeply in their faith.
Tickets are $15 (Early Bird price is $10 if paid by April 19) and daughters 7th –12th grade come for 1/2 price with moms. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Lunch options available from Odie’s, not included in ticket price. (Sorry, no childcare available.)

Bible study with Nikiski Aglow
Nikiski Aglow meets each Saturday morning from 9-11 a.m. at the Nikiski New Hope Christian Fellowship, Mile 23 North Road. All are welcome to attend. Aglow International is founded on prayer and compassionate outreach. It is global in ministry vision, yet rooted in small groups. Nikiski Aglow is hosting the DVD teaching of Graham Cooke with “Game Changers.” The five themes are: 1. How you are known in heaven; 2. Establishing your internal overcomer; 3. Mind of Christ; 4. Reinventing your walk in the fruit of the Spirit; 5. Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ.

Soldotna Day Aglow meetings scheduled
Soldotna Day Aglow will meet Wednesdays at Peninsula Christian Center located in Soldotna. There will be prayer at 9:30 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. worship and teaching. Babysitting will be provided if needed. For more information, contact Dawn Croom at 398-9278.
Soldotna Food Pantry open weekly
The Soldotna Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for residents in the community who are experiencing food shortages. The Food Pantry is located at the Soldotna United Methodist Church at 158 South Binkley Street, and all are welcome.
Non-perishable food items or monetary donations may be dropped off at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or on Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon. For more information or if you have questions, please call 262-4657.
United Methodist Church provides food pantry
The Kenai United Methodist Church provides a food pantry for those in need every Monday from noon to 3 p.m. The Methodist Church is located on the Kenai Spur Highway next to the Boys and Girls Club. The entrance to the Food Pantry is through the side door. The Pantry closes for holidays. For more information contact the church office at 283-7868.
Clothes 4 U at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church Soldotna, located at 159 S. Binkley Street, is re-opening its Clothes 4 U program. It is open on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. All clothing and shoes are free to the public.
Clothes Quarters open weekly
Clothes Quarters at Our Lady of the Angels Church is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 907-283-4555.
