Kristopher Smalley of Kenai was among the students graduating from Perry Technical Institute in Yakima, Washington on June 22. Smalley graduated from the Electrical Technology Program.

Bree Mucha of Soldotna has earned Semester Honors at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for the spring 2016 semester. Students who earn a gpa of 3.74 to 3.50 receive honors.

Hannah Thompson graduated May 14 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She was a member of Phi Theta Epsilon, which is Creighton University’s National Honor Society. Hannah, a 2007 Nikiski High School graduate, will be practicing in Sylvania, Ohio at Heartland Skilled Nursing Facility at Promedica Hospital.

The Kenai Central High School Class of 1966 is having its 50th high school reunion dinner on Aug. 5, at the Paradisos Restaurant in Kenai, starting at 6:30 p.m. On Aug. 6, all students of KCHS from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, as well as teachers and other school personnel, are invited to join the Class of ’66 from 6-11 p.m. at the Central Peninsula Sports Center in Soldotna. Come see old classmates and dance to the live music of Mark LaBrul (small cover charge, bring an appetizer to share, no-host bar.) There will be a picnic for classmates from ‘66 on Aug. 7, at the Soldotna Creek Park, 251 States Ave., from noon to 4 p.m. Call Kathy (Erlwein) Wood in Anchorage at 248-0050 or Paul Reger in Soldotna at 394-1971 for further details.

Events, wedding, engagement and birth submissions may not be older than six months. Wedding anniversary announcements are printed in five-year increments beginning with the 20th.

If your group or organization has a photo of an event to share, submit the photo and the following information for print: Who took the photo, who’s in it, when and where it was taken, a brief description of what’s happening, and a name and phone number in case we have questions.
