Kristopher Smalley of Kenai was among the students graduating from Perry Technical Institute in Yakima, Washington on June 22. Smalley graduated from the Electrical Technology Program.
Bree Mucha of Soldotna has earned Semester Honors at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for the spring 2016 semester. Students who earn a gpa of 3.74 to 3.50 receive honors.
Hannah Thompson graduated May 14 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She was a member of Phi Theta Epsilon, which is Creighton University’s National Honor Society. Hannah, a 2007 Nikiski High School graduate, will be practicing in Sylvania, Ohio at Heartland Skilled Nursing Facility at Promedica Hospital.
The Kenai Central High School Class of 1966 is having its 50th high school reunion dinner on Aug. 5, at the Paradisos Restaurant in Kenai, starting at 6:30 p.m. On Aug. 6, all students of KCHS from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, as well as teachers and other school personnel, are invited to join the Class of ’66 from 6-11 p.m. at the Central Peninsula Sports Center in Soldotna. Come see old classmates and dance to the live music of Mark LaBrul (small cover charge, bring an appetizer to share, no-host bar.)
