From the Food Bank

If you are in the mood to bake and know you shouldn’t eat it all yourself, the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank can help save you thousands of calories! The Fireweed Diner accepts donations of home baked goods such as cookies, cakes, brownies and quick breads. When donating baked goods it will be necessary to include your name and a list of ingredients in the product. If you need your container back be sure to have your name on the container. Brenda Dunn is available to receive your donations in the Fireweed Diner from 8:00-9:00 a.m. weekdays. Other items needed for the Fireweed Diner are coffee, paper towels, and glass coffee cups.
