The Kenai Art Center’s next show, “Feels Like Home,” is set to open on Jan. 5, and will benefit the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District’s Students in Transition program. There will be one more opportunity to submit art for the show.
According to information on the center’s website, submissions will be accepted on Saturday, Dec. 30, from noon to 5 p.m. The art, in keeping with the theme, “can represent anything, anyone, or any place that creates a feeling of safety, stability and a sense of home,” they write.
Any exhibition piece sold during the show will have the gallery’s portion of the sale donated to Students in Transition. The artist’s portion will be paid to the artist. A donation box will also be available all month during the exhibition, with those proceeds also going to Students in Transition.
