Kenai Art Center seeking donations for annual art auction

The Harvest Auction exhibition will open with a reception on Sept. 1 at 5 p.m.

The Kenai Art Center is seeking donations for its annual Harvest Art Auction. Pieces donated will be displayed as part of the September exhibition before being auctioned off at the end of the month as part of an annual fundraiser benefiting the center.

According to the center’s website, proceeds support workshops and programs at the center as well as its preservation.

Donations of any medium are accepted, and can be brought in during the center’s open hours, Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., until 4 p.m. on Aug. 26.

The Harvest Auction exhibition will open with a reception on Sept. 1 at 5 p.m.

Some pieces will be up for a silent auction throughout the month, while others will be part of an outcry auction that will be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 30. The outcry auction is a ticketed event with limited seating — tickets can be purchased at the center during open hours.
