Planning your tree planting
As winter recedes into spring it is a great time to look at our yards and plan for the future. The badly damaged trees that need to be replaced, the pruning that needs to be done, the perfect spot for the new shrubs, can all be planned for now. Cooperative Extension Service has free publications available on “Transplanting Trees Successfully, Tree Health and Fertilization” and much more. With trees we plant for the future, but need to plan for it now. Your local Cooperative Extension Service is your year round resource for a variety of topics, visit us today at: http://www.uaf.edu/ces/districts/kenai/ to find these publications and more. We also have hard copies in our office located at 43961 Kalifornsky Beach Road, Suite A, Soldotna, AK 99669. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Call us at 262-5824. We are “Learning for Life”.
