Kathryn Knackstedt and Austin Daly, both of Kenai, and Alex Weeks, of Soldotna, have been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2016 Semester at Pacific Lutheran University. To be eligible, a student must have attained a semester grade average of 3.50.
Megan English of Soldotna, a student in the College of Chemical Engineering, has been named to the President’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. To be eligible for the President’s List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average. Megan also was selected to travel to Africa with the student-led chapter of Engineers Without Borders, to work on a clean water project for primary schools in Western Kenya’s Khwisero District.
Savannah Jean Smith, a 2012 Soldotna High School graduate, recently graduated from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. She received her bachelor of arts degree in Education. She played women’s lacrosse and is ast president of Zeta-Tau-Alpha Kappa-Mu.
Victoria R. Askin of Kenai has been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas for spring 2016.
To be included on the dean’s honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
