In the one year from July 2016 to June 2017, approximately 2.5 million used wood and bamboo chopsticks have been retrieved by Chop Value from 65 restaurants in Vancouver, Canada and recycled to make coasters, tabletops, shelves and more. Chopsticks are another example of single use products, like straws or plastic cups. When you toss out items after just one use, you’re also wasting the energy, and the water used to produce and transport them. We all make a difference.
