An Anchorage resident died in a car collision on the Seward Highway last week, according to a dispatch from the Alaska State Troopers.
Ophelia Yang, 44, the front-seat passenger of a northbound 2007 Dodge Dakota, was declared dead at the scene after a southbound 2007 Jeep crossed the centerline and hit their car around Mile 7 of the highway in Seward on May 30, according to troopers.
The Dodge caught fire, according to the dispatch, and the driver and a back-seat passenger were life-flighted to Anchorage with serious injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, the dispatch said.
