Arson is suspected in a Sunday night structure fire in the village of Nikolaevsk.
None of the home’s occupants were present at the time of the fire, which was reported to the Soldotna Public Safety Communication Center on at 9:12 p.m. on Sunday. Alaska State Troopers responded to the call.
Troopers declared the house, owned by Brad Kirby, a complete loss, according to an online trooper dispatch.
The State Fire Marshall office and troopers are continuing the investigation.
