Portions of the Caribou Hills have gotten enough snow to allow for a limited opening to snow machining.
The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge on Friday announced a limited opening in the Caribou Hills area, though no other areas of the refuge are open due to inadequate snow cover, according to a media release.
Access to the hills is limited and snowmachiners should use existing parking off of Oil Well Road at the roadhouse, gravel pit trail or the last pad, according to the release.
For additional information contact the refuge office at 262-7021.
