Firefighters spent Wednesday tackling a house fire in the Funny River area.
The home on River Bend Drive is believed to be a total loss, said Central Emergency Services Captain Reed Quinton.
Members of CES were called to the structure fire at just after 3 p.m. Wednesday when someone who noticed the fire called 911, said Quinton.
The owners of the home were not there at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, Quinton said.
The homeowners have been notified. CES responded to the fire with two engines, three tankers, an ambulance and two support vehicles, he said.
The fire was out by about 4:07 p.m., Quinton said.
