Clarion, KDLL to hold special mayoral candidate forum Tuesday

The special mayoral election is slated for Feb. 14

The Peninsula Clarion and KDLL 91.9 FM, in partnership with the Central Kenai Peninsula League of Women Voters, will hold a candidate forum on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 6-7 p.m. at the Joyce K. Carver Soldotna Public Library.

The forum will spotlight candidates running in the Kenai Peninsula Borough’s special mayoral election, to be held on Feb. 14. Candidates are Soldotna City Council members David Carey and Linda Farnsworth-Hutchings, as well as Brothers’ Café co-owner Zachary Hamilton and former State Sen. Peter Micciche.

For those unable to attend in person, the forum will also be streamed live on KDLL 91.9 FM, at kdll.org and on the Peninsula Clarion’s Facebook page. Forums will be moderated by KDLL News Director Sabine Poux and Peninsula Clarion Government & Education Reporter Ashlyn O’Hara.

Questions asked during candidate forums will come from the Peninsula Clarion and KDLL, as well as from members of the public who submit questions in advance. Questions can be emailed to info@kdll.org.
