Portia Parvin Harris

John C. and Parrisa J. Harris of Kenai announce the birth of their daughter, Portia Parvin Harris. Portia was born on August 13, 2014 at 2:22 p.m. at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California. She joins siblings Isabelle (11), Benjamin (8), and Joseph (2). Her grandparents are Billy and Catherine Harris of Sterling, and Shamseddin and Parvin Peik of Pasadena, California.

Esther Alice Hamilton, a 2011 graduate of Kenai Central High School, graduated Magna cum Laude from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a Bachelor of General Studies Degree from the College of Sciences and Humanities on July 19, 2014. Hamilton was a member of Chi Omega. She will continue her education in the area of Biological Sciences in the Chicago area.

Events, wedding, engagement and birth submissions may not be older than six months. Wedding anniversary announcements are printed in five-year increments beginning with the 20th.

The Community page is a way to highlight activities and events that happen with a photo. If your group or organization has a photo of an event to share, submit the photo and the following information for print: Who took the photo, who’s in it, when and where it was taken, a brief description of what’s happening, and a name and phone number in case we have questions.
