Soldotna Robotics Club is officially competing at the state tournament this year in January. Frost Tech and Frost Bots both competed for 1 of 11 qualifying slots to the state competition. Frost Tech Team #6995 earned a spot at the state competition after being chosen to receive the Connect Award Nov. 18 at the League Championship Tournament in Anchorage. This award was one of 11 qualifying awards given to 25 competing high school teams.
The Soldotna Robotics Club is coached by Kristin McGlothen. Soldotna Prep School hosts the club and the students come from three local schools: Soldotna High School, Soldotna Prep, and River City Academy.

Events, wedding, engagement and birth submissions may not be older than six months. Wedding anniversary announcements are printed in five-year increments beginning with the 20th.
The Community page is a way to highlight activities and events that happen with a photo. If your group or organization has a photo of an event to share, submit the photo and the following information for print: Who took the photo, who’s in it, when and where it was taken, a brief description of what’s happening, and a name and phone number in case we have questions.
