Construction to cause traffic detour in Soldotna next week

The work is related to a new Kendall dealership

Motorists traveling through Soldotna should plan for the partial closure of East Redoubt Avenue next week, where construction will be underway. Between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2 through Saturday, Aug. 6, drivers will be unable to turn from the Sterling Highway onto East Redoubt Avenue, which is near the Holiday Station and Petco.

The construction work is related to a new Kendall dealership that is being built near the intersection of the Sterling and Kenai Spur highways, the City of Soldotna said in a Friday press release announcing the closure. Drivers who need to access East Redoubt Avenue will be directed toward a detour at Devin Drive.

More information about the partial road closure can be found on the City of Soldotna’s website at soldotna.org.
