A single-vehicle crash at mile 147 of the Sterling Highway on Wednesday killed the vehicle’s driver, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Troopers were notified of the crash at approximately 4:12 p.m. and responded. According to an email from Department of Public Safety Public Information Officer Megan Peters, the driver of the vehicle was partially ejected, and was confirmed dead at the scene. LifeMed responded to the scene as well.
The wreck has been cleared off of Sterling Highway. The driver’s identity has not been released.
