Four locals have been arrested in the culmination of a three-week investigation into meth distribution by Alaska State Troopers.
Members of the Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit — under the troopers — seized about 32 grams of methamphetamines, 1.2 grams of heroin, prescriptions pills, money and firearms on Wednesday in the Kenai area, according to an online trooper dispatch.
Troopers wrote in the report that Nikiski resident Rudy Bongolan, 42, and Richard Paul Morrison, 36, Sidney Paul Clark, 32, and Chelsea Mansfield, 23, all of Kenai, were arrested in connection with the case. The four were arrested on a range of charges, including misconduct involving a controlled substance, disorderly conduct, violating conditions of release, misconduct involving a weapon and providing false information to an officer.
The investigation is continuing, troopers wrote in the online report.
