A man wanted in the state of Idaho was arrested last week after he allegedly fled the scene of a traffic accident.
Donald W. Baker, 55, has an outstanding extraditable warrant from Idaho for selling opium or derivatives and absconding from parole, according to court documents.
Baker was arrested at his home after he left the scene of the March 17 two-car accident on Kalifornsky Beach Road, according to an Alaska State Trooper affidavit filed with the court.
Baker, who admitted to being the driver of one of the cars, was given a series of sobriety tests and registered a .130 blood alcohol level in an preliminary breath test, troopers reported. Baker’s driver’s license had been revoked due to a previous DUI.
He is facing charges for driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license, failure to give notice of an accident and being a fugitive from justice.
