Enstar Natural Gas Co. is working on repairing a gas line that was damaged in the Nikiski area.
Lindsay Hobson, communications manager for Enstar, said workers had stopped the flow of gas to the small service line on the Kenai Spur Highway shortly after being called to the scene on Thursday afternoon. She suggested people avoid the area while members of Enstar are working.
The Nikiski Fire Department was also called to responded to the damaged service line, which Hobson said is a normal procedure.
