Update, 6 p.m. Monday: The Alask Bureau of Investigation is conducting a homicide investigation on the incident, according to an updated online dispatch. Because of the nature of the investigation, the bureau didn’t release any additional information at the time, according to the dispatch.
Original story: Alaska State Troopers and Central Emergency Services responded to a reported home invasion and shooting incident Sunday night in Soldotna.
The trooper post in Soldotna received a call at approximately 8:47 p.m. Sunday of the incident, which took place south of Soldotna. However, the case was handed to the Alaska Bureau of Investigations in Soldotna, which is investigating, according to an online dispatch.
There’s no further information available at present, said Alaska Department of Public Safety spokesperson Megan Peters in an email.
CES responded as well and transported one person to Central Peninsula Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
