The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association will bring its 43rd Annual Home Show to the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex this weekend, running Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Event Coordinator Lara McGinnis said Monday that they’ve gathered 100 experts in home building, remodeling, decorating, landscaping, “every aspect that we can touch,” all under one roof. She described the Home Show as an opportunity to meet with those experts, pick their brains, and start setting up summer projects.
“Electricians, plumbers, builders, landscapers, you name it, we’ve tried to get them there,” she said.
Beyond just homeowners, McGinnis said they’re working to include “something for everyone.” In addition to all the vendors, McGinnis said that there will be craft programs for kids, food, giveaways every 30 minutes, and other fun.
This year, she said, the Home Show is back to full capacity after years of COVID restrictions, and it will be bringing the latest building trends and innovations.
“Our actual slogan or theme for this year is ‘It’s your dream home. Let’s build it right!,’” she said. “I keep saying that we’ve got fun, food and fabulous ideas.”
The 43rd Annual Home Show will run Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for youth and seniors. Kids under 12 get in free.
