Homer resident, Mark Shufelt, 51, died from injuries sustained Thursday, after his car collided with another vehicle, on the Sterling Highway near Anchor Point.
The circumstances are under investigation.
Shufelt’s southbound 1998 Toyota Tacoma and a northbound 2005 Ford Taurus driven by Ninilchick residents Timothy Johnson, 54, and Donald Krech, 56, rolled over numerous times after impact.
Shufelt was ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Shufelt was flown to Anchorage for treatment in critical condition. Both Johnson and Krech were transported to South Peninsula Hospital in Homer for treatment on non-life threatening injuries.
