The Kenai Fjords National Park at Exit Glacier will be closed to the public on Tuesday as the park hosts President Barack Obama.
The closure, which begins at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and will end late in the afternoon on the same day will begin at the park boundary, Mile 7.5 on Herman Leirer Road, according to a park media release.
No public will be allowed to access the area beyond the vehicle gate at the Resurrection River Bridge or via the Harding Icefield Trail to Exit Glacier during the president’s visit.
The park’s tents-only campground will be closed Monday night, but will be accessible the next evening, according to the release.
