Kenai police officers arrested Seth Byers, 19, in connection with a robbery at Shorty’s Coffee stand on Frontage Road around 4:49 a.m. Friday. A caller reported a robbery by someone armed with a knife who demanded money, according to a press release from the Kenai Police Department.
“Officers located the suspect approximately 10 minutes after he fled from the scene,” the press release states.
Officers arrested Byers in connection with the robbery and charged him with one count of robbery in the first degree, a class A felony, as well as an outstanding $5,000 warrant from the Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna for failure to comply with conditions of release on probation.
