An Anchor Point man has been arrested and charged following a shooting.
Troopers were told a man at South Peninsula Hospital had gunshot wounds around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to an online Alaska State Troopers dispatch.
“An investigation showed the victim had been at a residence on Valleyside Ave. in Anchor Point when he was shot multiple times with a shotgun by James Dixon, 45,” troopers wrote in the dispatch.
The victim’s wounds were serious but not life-threatening, according to the dispatch.
Troopers located Dixon and took him into custody. Alaska State Troopers Public Information Officer Megan Peters wrote in an email that Dixon has been charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and three counts of third-degree assault.
He was remanded to the Homer Jail, according to the dispatch.
