Anchor Point Emergency Medical Services and Alaska State Troopers found a South Carolina man unresponsive in his truck after responding to a call about a vehicle that had collided with a home near Anchor Point.
Soldotna dispatch got a report of the collision at about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. When emergency responders arrived they found Adolph Weitzel, 76, trapped in his truck, according to an Alaska State Troopers dispatch. Weitzel was extricated and taken to South Peninsula Hospital in Homer where he was pronounced dead, according to the report.
The home owner and Weitzel’s next of kin have been notified and troopers are still investigating the incident.
