The remains of two of the four people found in a field in north Kenai have been confirmed by the State Medical Examiner to be those of missing Kenai residents Rebecca Adams and Brandon Jividen, according to Thursday media release from the Kenai Police Department.
Adams’ children, Jaracca Hundley and Michelle Hundley, are likely the remaining two bodies that were found late Saturday. Those results have yet to be confirmed by DNA testing, according to the release.
Adams, Jividen, and Adams’ children were missing for nearly 10 months.
Police have said they are pursuing the case as a homicide investigation after finding the bodies of the four missing people, the remains of the family dog and handgun in a privately owned field near the Wildwood Correctional Facility.
Kenai police say they will have further information about the deaths after they receive a final medical examiners report, though that could take several weeks to complete, according to the release.
