Police search for man who stole car with child inside

ANCHORAGE (AP) — A warrant has been issued for a man suspected of stealing a car in Anchorage with a 3-year-old girl inside.

Anchorage police are attempting to arrest 37-year-old Bruce Allen King on a felony warrant for vehicle theft.

King is 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds. He has red hair and brown eyes.

The car was stolen the night of Jan. 1. Police said a Nissan Sentra with the child alone in the back seat was left running in northeast Anchorage.

Police issued an alert for the car. The car was found later that night abandoned behind a liquor store.

The child was not hurt.
