A 65-year-old man from Soldotna was killed Friday when his truck left the Seward Highway and overturned.
David Blackley was driving a Ford F350, headed north in the direction of Anchorage. According to a dispatch from Alaska State Troopers, at about 10 a.m. Friday he left the right side of the road and overturned.
Blackley was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The wreck happened around Mile 47.5 of the Seward Highway, near Summit Lake and around 10 miles after the intersection of the Seward and Sterling Highways.
The dispatch says that road conditions at the scene were “slick and snow-covered.”
