Soldotna’s Erica Chilla has been crowned Mrs. Alaska United States.
The pageant bills itself as the “pageant with a purpose for Alaska’s married women.”
This year, the pageant teamed with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
The results were announced after a Saturday competition at Dimond High School in Anchorage.
Chilla won a trip to the national Mrs. United States pageant in Las Vegas and several hundred dollars worth of gift certificates, beauty products, free tanning and a private photo shoot according to the pageant website.
