Three people were arrested in Kasilof Friday after Alaska State Troopers allege the vehicle they occupied was stolen out of Anchorage.
Troopers located a gold 2001 Lincoln Navigator at the Kasilof Post Office at about 11 a.m. with three people inside. According to a troopers dispatch, an investigation found the vehicle to be stolen from Anchorage and led to the arrests of Ashley Armknecht, 23, of Kasilof, James Stacy, 29, of Sterling, and Lawrence Trudell, 52, of Kasilof, for vehicle theft in the first-degree, a Class C felony.
Armknecht, Stacy and Trudell were transported to Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held without bail. The Lincoln was impounded from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
