Alaska State Troopers on Monday received a report of a camper falling apart and leaving debris on Holt-Lamplight Road in Nikiski.
When troopers investigated, they found the crumbling camper being towed by a man who initially provided a false name and birthday to inquiring officers, according to a trooper dispatch.
The Nikiski man, Christopher McCoy, 45, was eventually arrested once troopers determined his identity and found that he was wanted on two outstanding warrants for burglary and theft.
Troopers said McCoy fought with them during the arrest and was further charged for giving false information and resisting arrest, according to the report.
McCoy was arraigned on Tuesday. His next hearing is on April 9 at 10 a.m.
