The Alaska State Troopers are investigating a case of sexual assault between two inmates at the Spring Creek Correctional Center.
Troopers responded to a report of the assault at the Seward facility around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, according to an online troopers dispatch. An investigation was conducted and is still taking place, according to the dispatch.
Alaska State Troopers Public Information Officer Megan Peters said in an email that the investigation is being handled by Seward Patrol Troopers.
Troopers are not releasing any additional information, Peters wrote. More information will become available if or when charges are filed, she wrote.
