The University of Alaska Board of Regents will meet next week at Kenai Peninsula College for a regular meeting on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 20 and 21.
According to archived agendas on the board of regents’ website, the last time the board met on the Kenai Peninsula was April 2012, when they oversaw a groundbreaking ceremony for KPC’s Career & Technical Education Center and student housing facilities and took public testimony from local students, staff and other attendees.
The agenda for the Feb. 20 and 21 meetings hadn’t been published as of Tuesday evening, but the board is set to meet from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday in the Kenai River Campus’ Ward Building.
A release from KPC says the meeting will feature discussions on a range of topics, including academic programs, community partnerships, and the future of higher education in Alaska.
When published, the board’s agenda will be available at alaska.edu/bor/agendas.
