n An exhibition of James Evenson’s works from Kenai Peninsula College’s permanent collection will be on display at KPC’s Gary L. Freeburg Gallery through Sept. 28.
n The gallery display for the Kenai Fine Art Center’s annual Harvest Auction is open at 816 Cook Avenue in Old Town Kenai. The auction is 6 p.m. Sept. 30. n ARTspace Drawer is on display at the Soldotna Library, the first annual collection of locally created 2D art. The first of its kind in Alaska, this display is made possible by a partnership between Soldotna Rotary, ARTspace Inc., and the Soldotna Public Library.
n The Alaska Ocean Observing System is now accepting submissions for their 2017 short film contest! Films should center around Alaska’s coast and oceans, and must be under 10 minutes in length. n Central Peninsula Hospital is announcing a call for artist exhibition proposals for the newly created River Tower Community Gallery. The gallery is Central Peninsula Hospital’s newest exhibition space located on the 2nd floor of the River Tower on the hospital campus. This is the first annual call, which will be done once a year to determine the four quarterly exhibitions in the River Tower Community Gallery and offers space of almost 30 feet in length for artists to exhibit their work.
