One inmate is being treated for life-threatening injuries after a reported assault occurred at Wildwood Correctional Center in Kenai.
Soldotna troopers got a call from a Wildwood staff member that an assault had occurred involving two inmates at around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to an Alaska State Troopers online dispatch.
One of the inmates was taken to Central Peninsula Hospital and then flown to Anchorage “for his life-threatening injuries,” troopers wrote in the dispatch.
The Soldotna unit of the Alaska Bureau of Investigation is still looking into the case, according to the dispatch.
