An Anchorage woman is being held at the Homer jail after causing more than $1,000 of damage to a soccer field at a Homer elementary school and stealing signs from the Kachemak Emergency Service Area.
Alaska State Troopers arrested Angela Glaves, 41, of Anchorage, Thursday on a warrant after investigating claims that someone had spun donuts with a car on McNeil Canyon Elementary School’s soccer field and stolen several Smokey the Bear signs from the nearby Kachemak Emergency Service Area fire station. After an investigation, troopers issued a warrant for Glaves. She is charged with criminal michief in the third degree and theft in the fourth degree, according to an online trooper dipatch.
Damage to the soccer field is estimated at more than $1,000 and the signs were valued at less than $250, according to the dispatch.
