During my 50 years of residency, I’ve been an involved and concerned citizen when it comes to issues that affect us all. I believe in conservative spending values, freedom of choice and equal opportunity for all.

I recently opposed the city purchase of a private golf course, the city council effort to assume Home Rule powers just to avoid citizen grocery tax relief, and using public funds to build and maintain a new convention center.

I strongly believe that sensible and practical spending are needed now more than ever.

No annexation should take place without the consent of a super majority of the neighbors to be annexed.

I will abstain from voting on issues where there is a conflict of interest.

My children and grandchildren will live here for the next 50 years. I hope to leave the city an even better place for everyone to live.

Thank you and God Bless.
