Beeson, Aldridge win at Chainwreck Cyclocross

Brian Beeson and Morgan Aldridge won at the first week of the Chainwreck Cyclocross Series on Thursday at Tsalteshi Trails.

In this cyclocross series, racers compete on a 1.5- to 2-mile course that includes obstacles forcing the riders to dismount and mount the bike. The leader does as many laps as possible in 30 minutes, and nobody starts another lap after the leader finishes.

Beeson finished four laps in 30 minutes, 33 seconds, while Aldridge was the top woman, and second overall, at 32:21.

Also with four laps were C.O. Rudstrom in third at 32:38, Jamie Nelson in fourth at 33:15, Shane Lopez in fifth at 34:55, Will Morrow in sixth at 38:25 and Patty Moran in seventh at 39:57.

Stephanie Lambe had three laps in 33:53, Dan Keck had three laps in 34:21, Edmond Keck had two laps in 32:18 and Tim Keck had two laps in 32:20.

The series continues Thursday at the Slikok trailhead. Registration starts at 5:45 p.m., while the race begins at 6:15 p.m.
