Evan Butcher and Joey Sardina will play at the North American Hockey League Top Prospects Tournament on Feb. 15 and 16 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.
The number of players each NAHL squad gets to send to the tournament was based on the winning percentage in the division as of Jan. 19. The Brown Bears of the Midwest Division got to select two players and chose Butcher and Sardina.
Last season, over 200 scouts attended the tournament, including almost every NHL team and NCAA Division I school. Over a third of the players at last year’s event ended up with an NCAA Division I opportunity.
