CIA soccer starts with 3 wins

The Cook Inlet Academy coed soccer team opened its season with three straight victories.

The Eagles topped Holy Rosary 7-0 on Aug. 12 in Anchorage, topped visiting Tri-Valley 9-1 on Aug. 13 and topped Lumen Christi 3-1 on Thursday in Anchorage.

In the game against Holy Rosary, Jeremiah Dillingham had four goals, Sam Nelson had two, and Abraham Henderson had a goal and two assists.

In the game against Tri-Valley, Henderson had four goals, while Dillingham and Grayden Musgrave each had two goals. Rachel Johnson also had a tally.

Against Lumen Christi, Noah Castenholz had a hat trick.

The Eagles continued the road trip Friday against Birchwood Christian in Chugiak and today against Susitna Valley in Talkeetna. The Friday result not available as the Clarion went to press.
