The Cook Inlet Academy coed soccer team won its first Borealis Conference championship since 2016 by defeating Tri-Valley 3-0 on Saturday in the final.
Noah Castenholz had three goals in the final, while Abe Henderson had a pair of assists.
In Friday’s semifinals, the Eagles had pitched another shutout, winning 3-0 over Susitna Valley. CIA coach Kenny Leaf said in a text message that the defense was anchored by Britt Hall and goalie Jeremy Dillingham. Castenholz also had a hat trick in that game.
Castenholz was named both the conference and tournament MVP. Henderson and Hall also made all-conference, while Hall made all-tournament and Dillingham was named the tournament’s most valuable goalie.
