Cyclocross results posted

The second race of the Chainwreck Cyclocross Series was held Thursday at Slikok Trails just outside of Soldotna.

In this cyclocross series, racers do as many laps as possible in about 30 minutes on a course of 1.5 to 2 miles. The courses have barriers and obstacles that make riders get off and on their bikes.

Brian Beeson won with five laps in 35 minutes, 24 seconds, while Ben Boersma was second at 35:33.

The series continues Thursday at the Skyview Middle School trailhead at Tsalteshi Trails. Registration starts at 5:45 p.m., while racing is at 6:15 p.m.
