The host Seward basketball team notched a nonconference victory over Nikiski on Friday.
The Seahawks have moved down to the Class 2A level, meaning the old rivals no longer battle in conference affairs.
The Seward girls are 3-2, while the Bulldogs are 0-5. The Seward boys are 2-3, while the Bulldogs are 0-5.
The Seahawks girls won 56-29. Mikinley Williams poured in 20 for Seward, while Ava Jagielski had 18, Grace Fleming had 8, Natalie Sieminski had 7 and Lia Shank had 3.
For the Bulldogs, Abby White had 14, Blakeley Jorgensen had 10, Kailey Stynsberg had 3 and Addison Perkins had 2.
The Seward boys won 90-60. The Seahawks put five in double figures — Emerson Cross with 25, Van Shank with 20, Talon Lemme with 14, Mason Elhard with 12 and Lane Peterson with 11. Also, Noah Price had 7 and Hunter Price had 3.
For Nikiski, Carter Eiter had 23, Kameron Bird had 15, Kevin Love had 7, Kaleb Allen had 5, Ryder Maguire and Lynn Deveer had 4, and Ethan Ellis had 2.
Ketchikan boys 41, Ninilchik 33
The Wolverines fell to the seventh-eighth-place game at the Alaska Prep Shootout at Dimond in Anchorage after the Friday loss.
Ninilchik, which fell to 4-3 overall, had the game tied at 5 after the first quarter, but Ketchikan was able to take a 16-10 lead at the half.
Kade McCorison had 18 points and 11 rebounds and was named Ninilchik’s player of the game. Also for the Wolverines, Andon McCorison and Max Russell had 5, Brandt Mill had 3 and Eric Radar had 2.
Palmer Elks Tournament
The Soldotna boys and Homer girls and boys all took losses Friday.
The Soldotna boys lost 75-41 to Palmer to fall to 6-4 overall.
Izaiah Gilbert paced the Stars with 20, while Easton Hawkins had 7, Sam Strouse had 5, Jaydon Stuyvesant had 3, Josh Babcock and Damari Adams had 2, and Owen Buckbee and Bryan Berg had 1.
For Palmer, Nolan Garner had 18, Lukas Owen and Logan Rolston had 13, Logan Johnson had 11, KJ Henry had 10, Logan McCann and Maddox Moore had 4, and Truman Dean had 2.
The Homer girls lost 77-46 to Palmer to fall to 1-4 overall.

The Crimson Bears, now combined with the closed Thunder Mountain, won at home Friday in nonconference action to drop the Stars to 7-3 overall.
For the Stars, Anaulie Sedivy had 14, Hope Hillyer had 6, Teagan Kobylarz, Juliet Innes and Isabelle Cruz had 2, and Anika Jedlicka and Laurel Johnson had 1.
For Juneau, Layla Tokuoka and Cailynn Baxter had 13, Gwen Nizich and Kerra Baxter had 9, Cambry Lockhard had 7, Bergen Erickson had 3 and Lydia Goine had 1.
Birchwood Bash
The Cook Inlet Academy boys defeated Tri-Valley on Friday at the Birchwood Bash in Chugiak to improve to 5-2 overall and move to the title game of the tournament.
Eagles coach Ben McGarry said in a text message the team started strong to take control of the game, then mistakes kept Cook Inlet from pulling way, though the outcome was not in question.
McGarry said Zach Armstrong, with 10 points, and Brandt Rollman, with 8 points, had solid games. Also, Ian McGarry had 29, Alek McGarry had 20, and Matthew Phillips, Lucas Oyoumick and Silas Barnes all had 2.
Also Friday, the CIA girls lost 50-20 to Tri-Valley to fall to 4-2 overall.
Ella Rollman had 11 for the Eagles, while Beka Dillingham had 5, and Maddison Curren and Maria Smith each had 2.
