The Peninsula Oilers defeated the Anchorage Glacier Pilots 4-0 on Friday at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage at the Alaska Baseball League Scouts Showcase.
The exhibition games are seven innings and do not count toward league standings.
Jacob Tabor and Aaron Morris were able to combine to blank the Glacier Pilots on four hits.
Tabor went the first five innings and gave up three hits. Morris, the brother of former Oilers pitcher and current member of the Chicago White Sox Drew Thorpe, gave up one hit in two innings.
Eddie Leon finished with a pair of RBIs for the Oilers and was 1 for 2. Kyle McDaniel also had an RBI.
Colin Robson and Zakary Farris had the other hits for the Oilers.
The Oilers have two games left at the showcase, which takes place only at Mulcahy Stadium. Peninsula plays the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks at noon Saturday and the Mat-Su Miners at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The Oilers then have their home opener at 6 p.m. Tuesday against the Mat-Su Miners.
With the showcase going on, the league standings have been frozen with the Anchorage Bucs at 5-1, the Miners at 4-1, the Chinooks at 2-3, the Glacier Pilots at 2-5 and the Oilers at 1-3.
