Hogue, Aldridge start out mountain bike races with victories

The first mountain bike race of the Soldotna Cycle Series was held Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Tsalteshi Trails just outside of Soldotna, with Dylan Hogue and Morgan Aldridge picking up the victories in the 12-kilometer race.

Hogue finished the course in 29 minutes, 23 seconds, while Ollie Dahl was second at 30:14 and Aldridge was third overall at 31:43.

Also in the 12K, Tony Eskelin was fourth at 31:54, Nels Dahl was fifth at 32:32, Eric Willets was sixth at 32:40, Jon Iannaccone was seventh at 34:44, Tom Seggerman was eighth at 35:21, Shane Lopez was ninth at 35:52, Brent Waldrop was 10th at 37:05, Will Morrow was 11th at 38:09, Jonathan White was 12th at 38:38, Nick Sumner was 13th at 43:00, Jen Waldrop was 14th at 48:18 and Jane Adkins was 15th at 52:18.

In the 6K, Jonah Rigueiro was first at 18:35, Mitch Sego was second at 20:28, Lance Sego was third at 21:52, Lauri Lingafelt was fourth at 26:06, Darryl Kincaid was fifth at 27:59, Kaden Hayes was sixth at 28:19, Kylie Morris was seventh at 28:20, Conner Morris was eighth at 28:21, Hunter Morrison was ninth at 30:37, Mary Melias was 10th at 30:41, Olivia Waldrop was 11th at 30:44 and Sandi Crawford was 12th at 34:19.

The next mountain bike race is Thursday, July 18, at the Skyview Middle School trailhead of Tsalteshi Trails. Registration starts at 5:45 p.m., while racing is at 6:15 p.m.
