The Homer softball team will seek a sixth straight Northern Lights Conference tournament title when the tournament is held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Jack Gist Park in Homer.
The Mariners come into the tournament seeded fifth of the six teams, but last season Homer was 0-3 against Kodiak before beating the Bears twice in the tourney. The Mariners have won all five NLC tournaments held.
The Bears return this season as the No. 1 seed looking for revenge, while Palmer is No. 2, Kenai is No. 3, Soldotna is No. 4 and Houston is No. 6.
The top two teams in the tournament qualify for the Division II state softball tournament.
