A 12th-minute goal that gave Seward the lead on Saturday didn’t last long against the Mariners, who beat Seward 6-1.
Homer got goals from Beck, Charles Rohr, Simon Dye and Quinn Alward to notch the Northern Lights Conference win in Homer. Dye scored twice to lead the Mariners, who finished the regular season 2-3 in the South division and 7-7 overall.
On Friday, the Homer girls shut out Voznesenka 7-0, then posted another shutout Saturday with a 6-0 win over NLC opponent Seward at home. The Mariners got a pair of goals each from Uliana Reutov and Sam Draves on Saturday.
The victory left the Homer girls with a 3-2 NLC record and 10-5 overall.
