The host Homer softball team defeated Kenai Central 17-0 in three innings Tuesday in Northern Lights Conference action.
The Mariners moved to 1-2 in the league and 4-7 overall, while the Kardinals fell to 1-1 in the league and 1-1 overall.
Homer pitcher Zoe Adkins was dominant in three innings, allowing no hits and no runs while walking one and striking out six. Giselle Thomas drew the walk for Kenai.
The Mariners were able to jump on Kardinals pitchers Kyana Giriskevich, Caitlin Crabb and Libby Brinner.
For Homer, Ari Davis had two runs, Kaylin Anderson had two hits, two runs and two RBIs, Emily Owens had two runs, Charlotte Fraley had three runs, Sophie Ellison had two runs, Becca Trowbridge had two runs, two hits and two RBIs, and Julie Guess had two runs and two RBIs.
